Chris Wiggins put the University back in front with a 3-0 win over Cai Younger at 1, then Andrew Shipley again levelled for Northern with a tremendous 3-1 win over North East squash legend Bryan Beeson at 2. The deciding 4th string tie went to the wire, with Craig Dowie eventually triumphing 3-2 against Ryan Doran to give Northern the match 3-2.
