Then in an epic 5th string tie, Hannah Cliff battled back to overcome a tiring Craig Dowie 3-2 to give Tynemouth a 2-1 lead in the match. Andrew Shipley again levelled the match with a 3-1 win over Jamie Todd at 2, then in a brutal decider at 4, Jon Evans eventually overcame Graham Johnson 3-1 to win the match and the cup for Tynemouth, completing a League and Cup double for both Tynemouth Men's and Ladies' teams!
