University 1st string Liam Gutcher then as expected put his side into a 2-1 lead with a 3-0 win over Jamie Matthews but then the drama started, with the final two matches on court both going the distance - Northumberland 4th string Jack Hunter levelled the match with a tense 3-2 (11-9 in the 5th) win over Daniel Sarkissian, and then Northumberland 2nd string Lizzie Little pushed Dominic Cox all the way, holding a 9-7 lead in the final game before Dominic clawed it back to clinch the match 11-9 in the 5th and take the University into the final!
