The draws have now been published on this site for the Northumbria County Closed 2021 to be held at Tynemouth Squash Club, from Wed 20th to Sun 24th October 2021.

The full list of events being held is Men’s Senior (main and graded events), Men’s O45, Men’s O55, Men’s O60, Men's O65, Ladies' Senior, Ladies' O40, Squash 57 (Racketball) and Doubles. All current title-holders are defending their titles except in the Men's Senior event, where in the absence of winner for the last 3 years Max Forster, Chris Wiggins is the top seed with former winners Dave Barnett (13 titles) and Liam Gutcher (1 title) also in the mix. Sam Ward, 7-time winner of the Ladies' Senior event will be challenged for the title once again by former winner Hannah Cliff. In the Masters events, holders Peter Mcleod (Men's Over 45), and Jon Evans (Men's Over 55 and Over 60) remain the top seeds, with the main challenge coming from Richard Bradley (Over 45) and Glenn Ward (Over 55 and Over 60), and Adrian Alderton and Ron Freeman are seeded to battle it out for the new Men's Over 65 title. Gill Millington defends her Ladies' Over 40 title against Karen Heron. Current racketball title-holder Andy King will face strong opposition from 2019 winner Simon Long.

All are welcome to attend throughout the tournament. Following the completion of the finals on Sunday 24th, and the trophy presentations, the 2019/20 Northumbria League certificates will also be presented to divisional team winners, runners-up and players of the season.
