The updated League Rules for the 2025/26 season have been approved by the Committee, and are available via the Rules link under 'General' on the homepage.
Please familiarise yourselves with the rule updates. The only significant changes are:
- Rules 2.3, 3.1 & 8.2: The Ladies' League will consist of two divisions of five teams. Each team in the Ladies’ League divisions will play every other in its division twice – once at home and once away – in both halves. Automatic promotion and relegation will be 1-up/1-down both at halfway and at the end of the season.
- Rule 2.6: No club may have more than three teams in the Men's League Premier Division.
- Rules 6.13 & 6.14: Protective eyeware, manufactured to an appropriate National Standard as recommended by the WSF, is highly recommended at all singles events and is mandatory at all doubles events. Juniors (under 19) must wear appropriate protective eyeware. Players must not play a junior who is not wearing protective eyeware, and if a junior player refuses to wear protective eyeware, their tie shall be forfeited.
There is no change to rules 4.9 & 4.10, allowing optional "parallel teams" from the same club in the top divisions of the Men's and Ladies' Leagues.
