Here is the latest position in the Northumbria and League Cup competitions:

Ladies' Northumbria Cup (for all Division 1 teams)

The semi-finals and finals will be held at the Northumberland Club on Thursday 7th May (7:15pm) and Saturday 9th May (5:30pm) respectively.

The Ladies' competition features holders Newcastle University Ladies 1, Northumberland Ladies, Tynemouth Ladies and Northern Ladies 1.

Men's Northumbria Cup (for the top 4 Premier teams)

The semi-finals and finals will be held at the Northumberland Club on Friday 8th May (7:15pm) and Saturday 9th May (5:30pm) respectively.

The Men's competition is likely to feature holders Northern 1, Northumberland 1B and 1C and Newcastle University 1, although this depends on final league placings.

Men's League Cup A [for Div 1 to Div 3 teams]

This competition has reached the quarter-final stage.

Quarter-finals [division in brackets]:

  • Boldon 1 [1] v Tynemouth 2 [1] Thu 5th Feb
  • Newbiggin 1 [1] v Primrose 1 [1] Thu 12th Mar
  • Northen 2 [1] bt Northumberland 4 [1]Tue 17th Mar
  • Hexham 1 [2] v Sunderland 1 [1] Mon 16th Mar

Semi-finals to be played (home and away venues) by Sun 26th April.

Final at the Northumberland Club (Sat 19h May, 2:45pm).

Men's League Cup B [for Div 4 & 5 teams]

This competition has reached the quarter-final stage.

Quarter-finals [division in brackets]:

  • Sunderland 3 [4] v Newbiggin 2 [4] Wed 11th Feb
  • Northumberland 6 [4] v Consett 2 [4] Mon 16th Mar
  • Primrose 4 [4] v Boldon 3 [4] Tue 10th Mar
  • Northern 6 [5] v Eldon 3 [4] Fri 27th Mar

Semi-finals to be played (home and away venues) by Sun 26th April.

Final at the Northumberland Club (Sat 19h May, 2:45pm).

Ladies' League Cup (for all Division 2 teams)

In the only quarter-final tie, Tynemouth Ladies 2 host Newcastle University Ladies 2 on Mon 9th Feb.

The winners host Northern Ladies 2, and in the other semi-final Northern Ladies 3 host Primrose Ladies

Semi-finals to be played (home and away venues) by Sun 26th April.

Final at the Northumberland Club (Sat 19h May, 12:30pm).

The Cup Finals and Presentation Night will be held at the Northumberland Club on Saturday 9th May. All are welcome!

An important point to note is that under League rule 5.3, In order to be eligible to play in Cup semi-final and/or final ties, a player must have already played at least three team matches for the relevant club in the relevant League during the season, of which at least one match was during the second half of the season, unless there are mitigating circumstances (eg injury) notified to the League Secretary and accepted by the Northumbria Squash Committee.
