The Ladies' League fixtures are now complete, and here are the main highlights:
Premier Division
Tynemouth 1B held off the challenge of club rivals Tynemouth 1A to clinch the title for the second successive season, with only 4 points separating the two teams. After leading at halfway, Northumberland finished a creditable third, with Northern 1B edging out Northern 1A for the final Northumbria Cup place.
Hannah Cliff (number 1 for Tynemouth 1B) was again Player of the Division, continuing her long unbeaten run in the Ladies League.
Division 1
Primrose are promoted as Division 1 champions, with Northern 3 beating Tynemouth 3 and Northumbria University to the other promotion place. Primrose number 2 Sophie Cassidy was Player of the Division.
Division 2
Northumberland 2 in their first season clinched the Division 2 title, with Hexham finishing as runners-up. Newcastle University number 1 Charlotte Cooper was Player of the Division.
New format
The new Ladies League format seems to have been successful, with two 7-team divisions in the first half splitting into three divisions of 5, 5 and 4 teams respectively for the second half, giving more competitive matches.
