The Winter Leagues are now taking shape, with most teams having played at least half of their first half fixtures. Here is a quick update on the latest position at the top of each division, and important fixtures coming up.
Men's Premier: Newcastle University A remain unbeaten ahead of Tynemouth 1 and Northern 1, both of whom they still have to play at home (Northumberland Club) on Thu 15th Nov and Thu 6th Dec respectively.
Division 1: Sunderland 1 are unbeaten, with Tynemouth 2 and Northumberland 2 also in contention; Tynemouth 2 host Sunderland 1 on Wed 14th Nov.
Division 2: unbeaten Northern 3 are leading the way, followed by Primrose 1, Eldon Leisure 1 and Northumberland 3; Northumberland 3 host Northern 3 on Mon 11th Nov and travel to Primrose 1 on Tue 26th Nov.
Division 3: Westoe 3 are unbeaten with games in hand over Primrose 2, who host them on Thu 8th Nov, and Northern 4, who travel to Westoe on Wed 12th Dec; Northern Juniors 1, who are also in a good position, host Primrose 2 on Sun 16th Dec.
Division 4: Northumberland 4, Chester-le-Street 3, Eldon Leisure 2 and Concordia 2 are all very close at the top; key upcoming fixtures are Eldon 2 v CLS 3 (Mon 26th Nov) and Northumberland 4 v Eldon 2 (Wed 5th Dec),
Division 5: Boldon 2 and Tynemouth 5 have started well, with Primrose 3 not far behind.
Division 6: Boldon 3 remain unbeaten, with Alnwick, Newbiggin 3, Chester-le-Street 4 and Northern 6 all in the running; Alnwick host Northern 6 on Fri 23rd Nov, then travel to Boldon 3 on Tue 4th Dec and Chester-le-Street on Wed 12th Dec.
Division 7: Westoe 4, Hexham 3 and Boldon 4 are leading, having each won one and lost one against the other two.
Ladies Premier: Northumbria University Ladies, Northern Ladies 1A and Tynemouth Ladies 1 are the leading contenders; Northern Ladies 1A travel to Northumbria Uni on Tue 20th Nov and Tynemouth on Thu 13th Dec.
Ladies Division 2: Hexham Ladies and Northern Ladies 3 are unbeaten and favourites for promotion to Division 1 at halfway; Hexham host Northern on Sun 18th Nov.
